Nozaru Ramen in Normal Heights is a must try when it comes to ramen here in San Diego. I know there are many top notch ramen spots around the city and this is one of my faves! The atmosphere is laid back, super friendly staff, with the food of course being the highlight. 100% worth heading over and giving them a try! And if you aren’t in the mood for ramen, the poke bowls are delish too! |
THE LOST ABBEY - CHURCH
📍East Village
The Lost Abbey Church brewery is located in a 1906 building that was formerly Presbyterian church. They kept the interior, stained-glass and all, and turned it into a tasting room only a couple blocks from Petco Park. Enjoy seating inside the ‘church’ or out on that patio - complete with picnic tables, corn hole and Doggos Gus hotdogs. Perfect low-key spot before a game! |

Guy Fleming Trail - Torrey Pines
If you pay to drive to the top, this is an easy stroll, making it great for people of all ages. To add extra mileage and elevation gain, park along the beach and hike up from there. I often add on the other loops and head back along the beach (if the tide is low enough).
PRO TIP: Go before 10am and there is a solid chance you will see some juvenile great white sharks! Any later, the sun glare makes it harder to see them - so go early! 🦈
