Rubicon Deli has been around since 1994, and has been perfecting the art of sandwiches and salads ever since! They use top-notch ingredients and their signature freshly baked bread. The portions are big (huge, really!).
The Rich Boy and the Super Mario are a must! Grab one for a picnic or beach day. They will keep you full for hours!

NOSTALGIA COFFEE

📍Torrey Hills

Nostalgia Coffee, a proud woman-owned business, started in 2018 with a mobile café and quickly became a local favorite. The owner Taylor has since been featured in Inc Female Founders 200, as well as Rolling Stone Magazine and Men’s Journal.
Go for a morning hike in Torrey Pines, then head to the café for a coffee and breakfast sandwich. It's the perfect pick-me-up!

SUNFIRE HOT SAUCE

SunFire Hot Sauce, made in Oceanside, has some serious bold flavor combinations. The owner, Sye, has a passion for chilies and offers up about 15 different flavors. Habanero Mango, Kiwi Strawberry, and Goldenberry Gooseberry are my go to! Most chilies are grown in-house, with some sourced from other Southern Californian growers. Find Sye at the Little Italy and Oceanside Farmers Markets. He has loads of samples to try that all create a perfect balance of heat and flavor!

Iron Mountain Trail is a fantastic, albeit a bit challenging, hike. Once at the top, you'll enjoy views of moste of North County San Diego, including the Catalina Islands on a clear day! Just be ready for a steep climb and some rocky sections. There isn’t any shade, so don't forget your water and sunscreen!
PRO TIP: Go for sunrise! 🌅 You won’t regret it!
